An association of American armed forces veterans who are

AVERNY is the newly formed New York Chapter of       
American Veterans for Equal Rights which is dedicated
to full and equal rights and equitable treatment of all    
 present and former members of the U.S. Armed forces.   

American Veterans for Equal Rights New York activities:
Marching in Veteran's Day and Gay Pride Parades        
 Providing assistance in obtaining VA Medical Benefits
  Social events; camaraderie, partying, and friendship     
   Community projects, outreach to senior  GLBT veterans
   Advocacy of GLBT rights in the U.S. armed forces

At bottom of form write "For NYC Chapter" to become a local member.
  Or you can just come to our meeting and ask for a membership form.    

Who Can Join:
Anyone in the New York Metropolitan Area including
New York City, Westchester, Long Island, New Jersey,
and Connecticut who is a US military veteran and gay,
lesbian, bisexual, transgender, as well as friends and family.

The national organization, AVER:
American Veterans for Equal Rights (formerly known as  GLBVA),
is dedicated to full and equal rights and equitable treatment for all
present and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
